The Studio's history
After having been in two of the biggest tattoo shops around, “Il est libre” and Edu gago”, decided to create their own studio with their vision. The style for both will remain blackwork but more abstract/realistic for “il est libre” while still maintaining classic engraving for “Edu gago”.
They started out by opening their private space within one historic building that’s been classified as UNESCO World Heritage site: The Grand Hospice.
With their dedicated team, you can be sure of impeccable hygiene. They offer easy communication and the place are tailored to meet your needs – all materials quality assured in an individualized frame that’s both beautiful AND practical!
Who We Are
Edu Gago
He’s a tattoo spanish artist specializing in engraving. His work has been influenced by the classical Greco-Latino theme, as well his love for gothic architecture and baroque beauty canon along with romantic melancholy which he incorporates into each piece to create new emotions or ideas from these classic elements
Il.est.libre
He’s a Belgian artist and a graphic designer by training who’s mastered the art of mixing abstract textures with Japanese suminagashi inspirations. He also likes to tattoo realistic subjects often deformed or mixed in an unusual way–sometimes they’re even realism- based but distortion’d!
